PBIS stands for Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports, which is an evidenced based three-tiered framework used in schools to promote safety and good behavior. The focus is on prevention and not punishment, with clear expectations and explicit teaching. Students have multiple opportunities to practice skills throughout the school day. The ultimate goal is to ensure safety and a positive school culture so that every child can succeed and thrive.
