Principal's Message

As we approach the end of another wonderful school year, I find myself reflecting on all that we have accomplished together. It has been a joy watching your children grow, learn, mature, and thrive throughout the year. Every day, they have amazed us with their curiosity, kindness, and enthusiasm for learning. We are honored to be part of their educational journey and grateful for the trust you place in us each day.

The past few weeks have been filled with some of our favorite Greenvale traditions. Our third graders embarked on an incredible International Day experience, taking a trip around the world without ever leaving Greenvale. Students explored the cultures, traditions, foods, geography, and history of countries including Japan, Australia, Mexico, and many others. It was a fun day of learning and celebration.

Our fourth graders traveled back in time during Colonial Day, experiencing life in Colonial America through hands-on activities and immersive learning experiences. Students gained a deeper appreciation for history while enjoying a day that brought their social studies curriculum to life in meaningful and memorable ways.

A special thank you goes to our PTA and the many parent volunteers whose hard work made both International Day and Colonial Day possible.

Field Day was one of the highlights of the year! Students enjoyed a myriad of activities including tug-of-war, football, gaga, box ball, and many other exciting events. The weather could not have been more perfect, and the smiles, laughter, and school spirit were on full display throughout the day. I would like to extend a very special thank you to our PE teachers, Coach Kristina Caridi and Coach Marc Spinelli for their tremendous efforts in planning and organizing Field Day 2026. Their hard work, enthusiasm, and attention to detail created a memorable experience for every student.

The celebration continued into the evening with Greenvale Night, where students, families, and staff came together to celebrate another successful school year. It was a wonderful reminder of the strong sense of community that makes Greenvale so special.

Another highlight of the spring was our spectacular Greenvale Art Show! This year's theme, the Greenvale Diner, transformed our APR into a vibrant celebration of creativity and imagination. Student artwork showcased an incredible variety of mediums, including clay, painting, collage, and even "cerealism." A special thank you to our art teacher, Mrs. Alisa Beer, whose creativity, dedication, and passion for the arts made this incredible showcase possible.

I would also like to recognize our outgoing PTA Presidents, Tira Cirolia and Stephanie Pinto, for their two years of incredible service to Greenvale. They have given tirelessly of their time and energy to support our school. Their partnership, along with the support of the PTA, has helped make Greenvale an extraordinary place.

Warm regards,

Joanna Sanese
