It is wonderful to see the change in season as the weather finally begins to warm. Our students have been spending more time outdoors, enjoying fresh air, movement, and time together. This shift always brings a renewed energy to our school community, and it has been a pleasure to see our playground and outdoor spaces filled with laughter and excitement.
We are proud to share that third graders Jin Narigon, Yuto Fukaya, and Francis Musso from Mrs. Tolomeo and Mrs. Ingram’s class won their First in Math Regional Tournament. This is an outstanding accomplishment, and we are thrilled that they have qualified for the State Championship in Albany on June 13. We wish them the very best of luck and could not be more proud of their hard work, perseverance, and teamwork.
This week, we celbrated Teacher Appreciation Week at Greenvale. Our teachers embody an extraordinary level of dedication, care, and professionalism each and every day. They go above and beyond to create meaningful learning experiences, support the academic and social-emotional growth of every child, and foster classrooms where students feel valued, inspired, and confident. Their commitment does not go unnoticed, and we are deeply grateful for the passion and heart they bring to our school community.
As we look ahead, May and June promise to be filled with memorable experiences. From class trips and Field Day to picnics and end-of-year celebrations, there is so much for our students to look forward to. These moments are an important part of the elementary experience, helping to build lasting memories and strengthen our sense of community.
Warm regards,
Joanna Sanese
