It has been an incredibly busy and exciting few weeks at Greenvale, filled with wonderful opportunities for our students to shine.
Our production of Aladdin Kids, presented by Greenvale on Stage, was a tremendous success! More than 50 Greenvale students participated in two full cast performances, dedicating countless hours to rehearsals as they learned their lines, songs, and choreography. The shows were standing room only, and we could not be more proud of the beautiful performances our students delivered. A very special thank you goes to our show directors, Mrs. Lori Mortenson and Ms. Allie Linen, whose talent, creativity, and commitment to our students are truly remarkable. Their dedication made this incredible production possible.
We would also like to congratulate our fifth grade students on completing the DARE Program and celebrating their graduation yesterday. Throughout the program, students learned valuable lessons about making smart and responsible choices. We are grateful to Officer Jay Chacon and the Eastchester Police Department for their continued partnership and for supporting such an important program for our students.
Our second grade students also amazed us as they took us on a trip around the world through their performance with the Vanaver Caravan. Students represented a variety of countries, showcasing traditional dances while sharing what they learned about their chosen cultures. The performance was the culmination of a two-week residency with the Vanaver Caravan, and the students did a fantastic job bringing their learning to life on stage. Thank you to the PTA for making this incredible program possible.
Finally, we are looking forward to welcoming families to Parent-Teacher Conferences next week. This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with your child’s teacher and discuss their progress and growth. If you have not already done so, please be sure to sign up with your classroom teacher.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support of our Greenvale community.
Warm regards,
Joanna Sanese
